And factor in the insurance costs, aftermarket support, consumables costs, not having everyone try to steal your seats things, not having a high-strung NA motor thing...I could go on. There's a few S2K owners out here that have either owned an earlier Miata at one point or still own one, that auto-x locally that all say they ran better times in their Miata. Kind of hard to beat timed competition comparisons from the same person if you ask me. I'm not saying Miatas are better than S2Ks at all, they are actually a lot more different than you'd think. But for the cost, I think you have it backwards. They are different enough that if you want one or the other, you will be happy enough with the other one, but still wish you got the one you wanted.
